Just Eat

Full HQ refit and rebrand in restricted Central London location.

Growing online takeaway food service, Just Eat, first came to Benchdesking in 2012 looking for an office furniture firm with a personal touch.  Tired of yes people, the company’s office manager wanted a partner to work with her, not for her, as she redesigned the 150+ seat UK headquarters in Fleet Place, City of London.

Our brief was to design a stylish, flexible benchdesk system that matched the corporate logo and vibrant company culture.  In addition to open plan workspace, the new design extended to managerial offices, meeting rooms and the canteen.  Practical concerns included a tidy, clean finish with easy access to cables.  Delivery and installation had to work around on-site security, a 6th and 7th floor location, and sloped access.

Ambus benchdesks with matching mobile pedestals and chairs delivered the look, function and cost Just Eat required.  White sliding tops, red screens and black and red mesh chairs reflected the logo, with cables neatly tucked away and accessible in a black hoop frame.

Unphased by delivery and installation constraints, our team completed the job in 5 days.  Furniture was delivered to the 6th and 7th floor before 6am to avoid disturbing other occupiers, and a specialist pallet truck managed access restrictions.

As a result of this project, Just Eat commissioned us to furnish their offices at Boreham Wood and Bristol, as well as ongoing work at Fleet Place.
